What are the charges payable at YOTEL Washington DC?

Share

Typically, on top of your room charges, we charge hotel occupancy tax and our hotel facility fee, which are all included in the final price when you book directly at YOTEL.com.

If you booked through a third-party site, you may be asked to pay our hotel facility fee upon arrival as this isn’t always included in the final price on third party websites.

Washington, DC hotel occupancy tax is currently 14.95% and our hotel facility fee is currently $24.95 + 14.95% tax per night ($28.68 total).

Effective January 1st, 2023, this fee will be raised to $30.45 + 14.95% tax ($35.00 total) to allow us to continue to offer all of the amenities currently available to our guests.

INCIDENTAL HOLD

There is a $75.00 per night incidental hold / security deposit that is taken upon arrival. This is not an actual charge. It is just a hold and this hold is released back to your debit or credit card after check out.

After check out, our Housekeeping and Engineering teams inspect all rooms for possible damages or evidence of smoking. If there is no damage, the $75/night hold is released from our system immediately . After this, it is up to your bank to release the hold and have it drop off your card statement. On average, this takes several business days for credit cards. Some banks may release it sooner and others might take longer. If you do not see the hold released 7 business days after check out, we recommend calling your bank.

However, if a debit card is used for the security deposit, please be aware your bank will treat the deposit as a charge and the refund can take up to 15 working days to process.

Please note - your security deposit will not be returned if the room has been damaged or smoked in, and the hotel may charge you damage/smoking fees in addition to this security deposit depending on the severity of the damage.
